Aprés la pluie

It promised to rain today, but it did not. A friend and I had plans to head to East London, to the flower markets, but I was all kinds of tired. Had hosted a little luncheon over a very controversial documentary yesterday, plus we had gone to the Welly in Knightsbridge for drinks and dancing last night, ending up at Maroush in the wee hours of the morning for late night Lebanese(keeping it classy..far cry from our past greasy student days).Another happening was the arrival of an incredibly awesome new Leica camera that I’ve named Charlie.

These are pictures from an evening walk to Regents Park sometime last week and right after an early afternoon rainshower. I feel exceptionally lucky to have spent my childhood summers picnicing in this park. To still live a very little walking distance and be reminded of just how much I love life and nature. Still. 20 years after moving to my current home.
